Weekly update on our game Rebirth


Hey, 

      hope you all having a good day.This is a 6th weekly Devlog of our game Rebirth.This week i was working on a notebook system and my friend was working on some animations stuff for the boss. The notebook system is still work in progress and it's been a struggling week to get some of the functionality working. I put questions on some forums and still hoping to get the right answer. Meanwhile we are working on our marketing campaign which we have no clue by the way, but still figuring out various approaches to it and target audience and all. So yeah, that's pretty much it this week and hopefully we achieve more work in the next week.This is the current working state of the game.

In the shooting stuff post(previous post) i talked about the basics of shooting of the gun and the other functionalities like Reloading,Recoil etc. Today I will be sharing how we did damage system which is pretty easy in its base concept. All you need to do is find the hit result of the line trace and see if it hit something. If the hit result is Enemy then decrease the health of the enemy by specified amount. Each type of weapon has different damage amount. Based on the damage received to by the enemy we decrease the enemy's health. To achieve the same in UE4 we make use of interfaces which helps in establishing communication between the blueprints in an easier way.That's all about the basic damage system. We are working on the more advanced version of this and cannot wait to show you in coming weeks.Until then take care and thank you for reading.
